Automotive Ethernet physical layer IOP test tool TESTBASE-EIOP

OPEN Alliance is a non-profit and open industry alliance jointly established by OEM, Tier1 and tier2, which aims to apply and promote Automotive Ethernet technology.
In order to ensure the interconnection of various  ECU suppliers, TC8 working group of OPEN Alliance is committed to the development of 100base-T1 and 1000base-T1 Automotive Ethernet ECU test. OPEN Alliance automotive Ethernet ECU test specification layer 1 has been updated to version 3.0 in early 2020. Meanwhile, v1.0 version of OPEN Alliance automotive Ethernet ECU test specification layer 1 1000base-t1 was released in early 2020.

TESTBASE-EIOP is an Automotive Ethernet physical layer IOP (interactivity) automatic test tool  independently developed by HiRain Technologies, which can completely cover the OPEN TC8 IOP test standard.
 

IOP Test Environment

The following figure shows the layer 1 interoperability (IOP) test environment composed of TESTBASE-EIOP as the core equipment with reference to TC8 requirements, mainly including:

HiRain Technologies  IOP test solution

According to the IOP test requirements proposed by TC8, HiRain Technologies launched a complete automatic test system, which can be used for 100base-T1 and 1000base-T1 test.

HiRain Technologies IOP automatic test system consists of the followings:

• Hardware

   used to connect 100base-t1 or 1000base-t1 DUT, can control link partner and DUT to power on and off, and has noise injection and cable fault simulation module
   AWG：Arbitrary waveform generator for differential Gaussian noise injection
   Harness barrel: optional, providing automatic switching between near and far ends

• Software

   Automatic test software: the automatic test software is INTEWORK-TAE independently developed by HiRain Technologies, which can realize the construction and operation of automatic test sequence
   Test suite: AETP, an Ethernet conformance test suite developed based on INTEWORK-TAE, can realize TC8 (V3.0) and layer 3 ~ 7 custom protocol conformance test. IOP package is a part of AETP, which is used to control EIOP hardware equipment, execute test sequence, judge test results and automatically generate test reports
