As the automotive industry undergoes a profound transformation towards intelligence, L2 and L2+ advanced driving assistance features are rapidly becoming standard equipment. L3 autonomous driving technology is also accelerating its implementation. Before the "full autonomous driving" technology matures, "human-machine co-driving" has become the mainstream approach. Against this backdrop, the implementation of high-level intelligent driving systems has become particularly crucial, especially the Driver State Monitoring systems (DMS), which plays a key role in preventing safety risks caused by improper driving behaviors.
As a dedicated practitioner in the automotive electronics field, facing market demands, HIRAIN has independently developed an integrated DMS (Driver Monitoring System) solution. To date, this product has been equipped with seven models from a global commercial vehicle manufacturer and is expected to reach mass production by the end of 2025.
The HIRAIN DMS integrated unit, combining the DMS camera and controller, adheres to human-centric safety design, enabling the monitoring of the driver's driving status to mitigate driving risks associated with driver distraction or fatigue. This product is compact and easy to install, fitting seamlessly into various vehicle locations such as the A-pillar, steering wheel column, dashboard, and infotainment system. Moreover, with its standalone functionality, it can shorten the development cycle. Additionally, it is capable of self-calibration and self-learning, complying with both international and domestic regulations.
Since 2012, HIRAIN has been engaged in the research and development of intelligent driving products. With over a decade of technological accumulation and breakthroughs, HIRAIN has successfully established a comprehensive intelligent driving solution that spans the entire chain of perception, decision-making, and control. The current product lineup includes the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), Intelligent Driving Domain Controller (ADCU), Driver Monitoring System (DMS) integrated unit, and High-Performance Computing Platform (HPC), among others. Specifically, the DMS-related products have been under development since 2018, and after seven years of technological accumulation and innovation, they have been mass-produced by several manufacturers both domestically and internationally. The HIRAIN DMS integrated unit, featuring a 1MP camera platform, meets the requirements of the General Safety Regulation (GSR) and the European New Car Assessment Programme (ENCAP), and has obtained automotive safety and regulatory compliance certifications in Europe, marking its entry into mass production.
