Rizhao Port
In 2021, Hirain, together with other companies, developed an unmanned truck fleet system solution for the Rizhao Port's coastal open fully automated container terminal, enabling the regular operation of unmanned trucks. As the world's first coastal open fully automated container terminal, it has broken international technological monopoly and become a benchmark for smart ports.
The layout of "Remote-Controlled Quay Cranes + Automated Rail-Mounted Gantry Cranes + Unmanned Container Trucks" has promoted traditional operational models and established a localized, integrated operation and maintenance system. Since its commissioning, the project has achieved remarkable outcome and received repeated authoritative recognition.
In September 2022, the "Shandong Port Group Rizhao Port 5G Smart Port Park Project" was awarded the First Prize in the Shandong Division of the 5th "Bloom Cup" 5G Application Competition. In the same year, the "Research and Application of Key Technologies for Unmanned Container Truck Operations in Open-Type Alongshore Fully Automated Container Terminals" won the First Prize of the Science and Technology Award from the China Port Association. This project has not only promoted the systematic application of domestically produced software and hardware in fully automated terminals but also demonstrated China's strength and innovative vitality in the field of port automation.
