Overview
Traditional ports face challenges such as multiple safety hazards, isolated data silos, and experience-dependent management decisions. The digital twin system addresses these issues by creating a virtual model that mirrors the physical port in real time, integrating live production and operational data to enable multi-dimensional, comprehensive monitoring of terminal operations. This drives the digital transformation of terminal workflows and management, reduces safety risks associated with frequent manual entry into operational areas, and enhances overall security. Additionally, the system supports historical data replay and production process simulation, facilitating pre-task simulation, strategy validation, and performance analysis to boost operational efficiency. It provides port decision-makers with a real-time, visualized, and information-integrated digital platform, enabling "data-driven management, multi-dimensional operational visualization, and panoramic intelligent monitoring."
Jingwei Hirain’s smart port digital twin system adopts a B/S architecture, comprising components such as a digital twin front end, digital twin back end, simulation front end, and simulation back end. The digital twin back end constructs a 3D model of terminal production scenarios, including equipment and facilities such as terminal surfaces, yards, roads, quay cranes, yard cranes, and vehicles. Through its data service module, it interfaces with cyber-physical systems such as the Terminal Operating System (TOS), Equipment Control System (ECS), and Fleet Management System (FMS), receiving real-time production data to render 3D operational scenes for display on the front end. The front end also presents statistical production data via charts, enabling global real-time monitoring of container terminal operations.
All real-time data generated during production is stored in a database, allowing historical data retrieval and replay for analysis of key events and efficiency bottlenecks. The terminal simulation back end builds container terminal simulation models based on production processes and operational machinery principles, supporting pre-task simulation, strategy validation, and performance analysis to further improve container terminal production efficiency.

System Functions
- 3D Visualization of Port Elements: Static elements (terrain, buildings, wharves, yards, roads, etc.) and dynamic elements (quay cranes, yard cranes, unmanned container trucks, containers, etc.).
- Operational Scene Display:Docking with production operation systems such as TOS, ECS, and FMS to enable real-time monitoring of production processes.
- Multi-Perspective Display: Roaming mode, fixed-point view switching, quick element positioning, and vehicle following functions.

- Recording and Playback:Record production data, allowing arbitrary selection of playback time periods and accelerated playback.
- Simulation Verification: Set up simulated task scenarios for full-digital simulation, or dock with real TOS/FMS to simulate production operation tasks.
- Scene Orchestration: Customize and publish terminal production scenarios, ensuring the static layout of terminals/yards and the deployment of operational machinery.
