Container Damage Detection System
With the rapid growth of the port and container industry, transportation companies and ports have an increasing demand for container damage detection. When the container is seriously damaged, it may cause damage and loss of the goods, and may even endanger the driving safety of trucks. Hirain catch the opportunity of intelligent port construction and developed a container damage detection system based on laser sensor data and machine learning algorithms to help improve the safety and operational efficiency of port transportation.

The container damage detection system is composed of four parts: perception module, algorithm module, edge computing unit and data interaction module. The optical camera and lidar in the sensing module obtain the data of the container respectively. They send the data to the edge computing unit via the ethernet cable. The edge computing unit receives the data to perform data processing and calculation according to the different algorithm models in the algorithm module. It detects the damaged recognition result of the container. The algorithm module has a variety of built-in algorithm models, including image recognition and processing models, point cloud data trigger collection models, point cloud data feature extraction models, and finally recognize damaged containers based on machine learning algorithm models. The data interaction system establishes a one-way or two-way communication mechanism according to the specified communication protocol, sends the recognition result to the enterprise cloud platform, and can also transmit the processed perception data for model training and algorithm iteration.
