Instant Configuration Recognition for More Efficient Testing! TestBase VCI Series Upgrades Are Here!
Release time:
2026-01-19 13:17
Amidst the profound transformation of intelligent vehicles, efficient and precise R&D testing toolchains have become the core engine driving innovation. Recently, the TestBase VCI vehicle bus communication interface card series underwent a major upgrade, simultaneously introducing a new family-based naming system. The products fully support mainstream automotive network protocols including CAN, CAN FD, LIN, and Ethernet. Paired with the self-developed INTEWORK-VBA software, they deliver an integrated “hardware-software” one-stop development and testing solution, empowering intelligent driving R&D to achieve efficient breakthroughs.
This upgrade encompasses a redesign of the form factor and an expansion of model options. Multiple classic products have undergone iterative updates, enhancing stability and applicability across multiple dimensions.

The current bus interface card product list is as follows:

▎ Core Upgrade Highlights: Enhanced Flexibility with Multi-Bus Adaptability
This upgrade focuses on boosting testing efficiency through targeted optimizations to bus adaptation capabilities. CAN/CANFD/LIN bus protocol interface cards now support channel expansion beyond the original hardware, delivering improved data transmission and testing throughput. Ethernet bus protocol interface cards integrate CAN bus interfaces, enabling compatibility with multiple bus protocols and significantly enhancing flexibility and convenience for cross-scenario testing.

▎ Family-Based Naming Convention: Model Numbers Convey Information for Efficient Selection
VCI product family model numbers consist primarily of four digits, with some models featuring additional suffixes to enable users to quickly and accurately identify hardware channel resources. Specific rules are as follows:
Core 4-Digit Encoding Rules
- Digit 1: Represents the number of supported automotive Ethernet channels
- Digit 2: Represents the number of supported CAN/CANFD/CANXL channels
- Digit 3: Represents the number of supported LIN channels
- Digit 4: Indicates offline acquisition support (0=Not supported, 1=Supported)
Feature Suffix Explanation
- XL: Supports CANXL bus
- HM: 100M speed specification
- TM: 1000M speed specification
- DM: 10M speed specification
- MG: 2.5G/5G/10G speed specification
- PON: Supports optical communication functionality
- T1: Adapted for automotive Ethernet scenarios
- T: Adapted for industrial Ethernet scenarios
- /: Identifies Ethernet conversion devices
Using TestBase V6400_T as an example: This model supports 6 automotive Ethernet channels, 4 CAN/CAN FD/CAN XL channels, 0 LIN channels, and does not support offline acquisition (4th digit is 0). The suffix “T” indicates adaptation for industrial Ethernet scenarios.

This family upgrade represents not only an iterative evolution in hardware performance but also a profound optimization and enhancement of the user experience. Moving forward, Jingwei Hirain will continue to focus on cutting-edge automotive electronics technologies, deepen its expertise in the test toolchain domain, and build a smarter, more open, and more reliable toolchain ecosystem to drive the high-quality development of the intelligent vehicle industry.
