In August 2023, HIRAIN launched its industry-leading 92-inch AR-HUD, boasting cutting-edge performance metrics. The newly upgraded AR-HUD, equipped with the latest DLP4620 chip, now achieves brightness exceeding 15,000 nits and a contrast ratio above 1800:1, significantly enhancing visibility under intense sunlight and nighttime display quality, delivering an unparalleled visual experience.
Through continuous refinement and expertise, HIRAIN has also achieved breakthroughs in dual VID (Virtual Image Distance) and gradient VID technologies, positioning itself at the forefront of the industry.
Compared to single-focal HUDs, HIRAIN’s dual VID technology employs multiple reflectors to adjust light paths, enabling drivers to view two virtual images at different distances. The far-focal plane displays AR navigation information aligned with the road, while the near-focal plane shows instrument data. This layered approach optimizes readability, screen utilization, and driver safety by allowing flexible adjustment of information placement. HIRAIN has collaborated with a luxury automotive brand to integrate this technology into its flagship model, set to debut in Q3 this year, marking a new chapter in intelligent cabin displays.
Building on hardware advancements, HIRAIN has made significant strides in software innovation, achieving transformative upgrades to its ARCreator platform:
· Enhanced Anti-Shake Algorithm: Leveraging low-latency data transmission, precise vehicle pose estimation, and 3D scene reconstruction, this algorithm improves alignment accuracy between virtual and real-world scenes and stabilizes HUD visuals on bumpy roads, reducing visual fatigue during prolonged driving.
· Gaze Tracking Technology: Combines iris recognition, spatial perception optimization, adaptive dynamic noise reduction, and facial feature capture for highly accurate and efficient eye tracking.
· Proprietary Software Framework: ARCreator, the core AR-HUD software, integrates vehicle, navigation, and ADAS data with advanced algorithms for coordinate conversion, stabilization, and lane-keeping. Utilizing modular GPU rendering pipelines and OpenGL ES standards, it dynamically renders 3D scenes in real time, delivering low-latency, high-fidelity visuals across multi-FOV optical systems.

Amid the convergence of smart cabins and autonomous driving, HIRAIN positions AR-HUD as the “first screen” for intelligent driving, refining cabin-driver interaction through three key optimizations:
· Enhanced Trust in Autonomous Driving: AR-HUD serves as the primary interface for conveying autonomous driving intent, integrating “perception + decision-making + execution + display” to make safety more tangible.
· Improved Environmental Awareness: By projecting real-time road conditions and guidance via multi-spectral perception fusion, AR-HUD minimizes visual distractions and enhances safety in complex scenarios like night driving, heavy rain, or fog.
