Recently, HIRAIN's plant in Malaysia has officially achieved ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System certifications. This milestone signifies the plant’s full alignment with international standards in environmental governance, employee health and safety, and social responsibility.
As a critical component of the company’s global strategy, these certifications not only provide authoritative endorsement for the Malaysian plant’s expansion into international markets but also underscore HIRAIN’s unwavering commitment to serving global clients with high standards and advancing sustainable development.
ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 are globally recognized management system standards established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), focusing on environmental management and occupational health and safety, respectively.
· ISO 14001: Establishes a systematic environmental management framework for enterprises to identify and control environmental impacts across production processes. Its core value lies in shifting businesses from passive compliance to proactive emission reduction, achieving both ecological and economic benefits through continuous improvement.
· ISO 45001: Aims to help enterprises build preventive safety management frameworks, requiring closed-loop management from risk identification and process optimization to employee engagement, thereby reducing workplace injuries and health risks.
These certifications are not only essential credentials for entering international supply chains and premium markets but also authoritative trustmarks for corporate sustainability practices. The successful certification demonstrates that the Malaysian plant’s environmental and occupational health and safety systems fully meet global standards, instilling confidence in overseas partners. By leveraging “green and safe” practices, the plant empowers global business expansion, strengthens cross-border collaboration, and secures a competitive edge in the new energy sector.
During the certification process, HIRAIN’s China-Malaysia team collaborated with local industry consultants to address regulatory and cultural differences, establishing cross-regional communication mechanisms to ensure precise implementation of standards. The team also completed the development and trial operation of the plant’s EHS management system. Auditors conducted comprehensive evaluations through documentation reviews, on-site inspections, and evidence verification, concluding that the plant’s management systems comply with international standards and operate effectively.
HIRAIN’s plant in Malaysia commenced operations in November 2023, specializing in the production of new energy vehicle electronic products to meet growing international demand.
Currently, the plant houses six automotive controller production lines with an annual capacity of 4 million units, significantly enhancing production scale and product diversity. The lines, independently developed by HIRAIN, integrate robotic arms, triaxial modules, optical inspection, RFID, real-time monitoring, and HIRAIN’s proprietary MES system. This enables fully automated production, traceability, process parameter control, and error-proofing. Designed with modular and platform-based principles, the lines ensure flexibility to rapidly adapt to customer demand shifts and product upgrades, enabling swift capacity expansion.
The dual certifications mark not an endpoint but a new beginning of responsibility. HIRAIN firmly believes that reverence for standards, dedication to responsibility, and pursuit of quality will fuel long-term growth. Moving forward, the Malaysian plant will leverage the ISO-certified systems to continuously enhance green manufacturing capabilities and safety controls, delivering superior automotive electronic controllers to global clients. Seizing this opportunity, HIRAIN will collaborate with partners worldwide to build a new era of safe, green, and sustainable intelligent manufacturing!
