Inland Port —— Longgong Port (Phase I & II)

Since 2022, Jingwei Hirain and Longgong Port Group have carried out in-depth cooperation to promote the construction of an automated horizontal transportation system, gradually building an efficient, safe and green smart port operation system. Through continuous technological innovation and system optimization, Longgong Port has become the first inland river fully automated terminal with regular operations in China.

The intelligentization journey of Longgong Port has achieved a leap forward in unmanned and intelligent horizontal transportation at the terminal through the precise iteration of Phase I and Phase II projects.

Phase I
Initial project introduced 4 Heavy-duty Autonomous Vehicles (HAVs) independently developed by Jingwei Hirain, and deployed supporting key systems including Operation Management System, vehicle-road coordination, remote driving, automatic charging, and digital twin. It successfully realized the regular operation of automated unmanned horizontal transportation fleets. From the launch of research to official production, it only took 100 days, Longgong Port has taken a significant step forward as an inland river container port in China by realizing the regular operation of unmanned intelligent horizontal transportation.

Awards and Honors:

  • First Prize of 2023 Transportation Industry Equipment Management and Technological Innovation Achievements
  • First Prize of the National Finals of the 6th "Bloom Cup" 5G Application Collection Competition
  • First Prize of 2024 Science and Technology Progress Award of China Port Association

Industry Influence:
The project has been repeatedly covered by authoritative media outlets such as People's Daily and China Central Television (CCTV).

Phase II
The Phase II project introduces six additional HAVs to serve the horizontal transportation needs of the newly constructed berths, rear yard, and empty container area. It further expands functionalities in Operation Management System, automated charging, vehicle-road coordination, and remote driving systems. Additionally, the coverage of the digital twin system is extended to achieve high-realtime 3D visualization and operational simulation optimization capabilities across the entire operational area.
