On December 19, Andes Technology visited Jingwei Hirain's Beijing headquarters. The two parties engaged in in-depth discussions on building the in-vehicle RISC-V ecosystem and seized this opportunity to further deepen their ecosystem collaboration.
The discussion centered on the critical transition for in-vehicle RISC-V from “usable” to “deliverable”. Topics explored included software stack maturity, engineering efficiency, verification processes, and ecosystem collaboration. Experts unanimously agreed that automotive scenarios demand high levels of determinism, safety, and maintainability. The true driver of technology implementation efficiency lies not in isolated performance metrics, but in the ability to build a stable software platform and tool chain system. This enables partners to efficiently complete evaluation, integration, and application verification.

YU Yaqi, Senior Director of Jingwei Hirain, stated that the company will continue to increase investment in engineering platform capabilities for the automotive RISC-V architecture, providing full-stack system capabilities spanning requirement definition, underlying software, complex middleware, and proprietary tool chains. By building reusable software modules and automated tool chains, the company assists ecosystem partners in creating end-to-end solutions from chips to applications, significantly lowering technical adoption barriers and project risks to accelerate the large-scale deployment of in-vehicle RISC-V.
XIE Youling, Vice President of Greater China, Andes Technology, highly commended Jingwei Hirain's platform-oriented approach and practical achievements in the in-vehicle RISC-V domain. She stated that as a Founding Premier Member of the RISC-V International, Andes Technology will continue providing high-performance, highly configurable automotive processor cores and comprehensive development environments. Together with Jingwei Hirain, Andes Technology will enhance the automotive software and hardware ecosystem to jointly facilitate customer innovation and application deployment.
Moving forward, Jingwei Hirain will maintain regular exchanges with partners on engineering practices and tool chain development for in-vehicle RISC-V. This collaboration aims to enhance ecosystem synergy and deliver more comprehensive solutions, collectively propelling the industry toward a new era of safer, more efficient, and open automotive computing platforms.
