On November 28, 2025, the XCU (X-in-One Control Unit)—jointly developed by Hirain, Geely, and Graybo—reached its 500,000th mass-production milestone. As the highly integrated power-domain control unit for Geely’s bestselling pure electric model Xingyuan, the XCU delivers outstanding performance in energy management, system response, and operational reliability. Its large-scale deployment has strongly supported the model in achieving over 400,000 units sold in its first year on the market, securing the top sales position across all vehicle categories.

The XCU’s mass-production timeline has set a new industry benchmark. From the official project launch in October 2023 to the first batch rolling off the production line in July 2024, the team compressed the typical 18–24-month industry development cycle to just nine months. In September 2024, monthly shipments exceeded 10,000 units for the first time, perfectly aligning with the surging demand for the Geely Xingyuan. As of November 2025, total deliveries have reached 500,000 units, making it one of the few power-domain multi-in-one integrated controllers in China to achieve true large-scale mass production. These milestones collectively demonstrate highly efficient end-to-end capabilities, from technology development and mass-production delivery to market validation.
Behind the rapid mass production of the XCU lies Hirain’s systematically developed capabilities tailored to the large-scale deployment needs of intelligent electric vehicles:
- Platform-based hardware architecture: Built on modular circuit design, ensuring high reliability while significantly shortening OEM development cycles for new platforms.
- Efficient software engineering system: Enabled by in-house platform-based code libraries and automated testing toolchains, delivering both development efficiency and long-term system robustness and safety.

Mr. Zhang Dewang, Director of Geely Automotive Center, stated:
"The success of Xingyuan is the result of product definition, supply-chain collaboration, and technological innovation working in perfect alignment. The XCU—co-developed by Geely and HiRain—is a highly integrated hardware platform that unifies power, thermal management, and vehicle control. Its advantages in cost, reliability, and delivery cadence have fully supported the model’s rapid volume growth. This is a benchmark example of collaborative innovation across China’s intelligent EV supply chain."
Dr. Fan Chengjian, President and CTO of Hirain, commented:
"The delivery of 500,000 XCUs is not the achievement of a single company, but the culmination of mutual trust, openness, and efficient collaboration among all partners. Geely’s forward-looking product definition set the direction, while Hirain ensured seamless alignment across the R&D-to-manufacturing chain. This milestone demonstrates that China’s local supply chain now possesses true system-level delivery capability to support phenomenon-level EV models. What we have built together is not just a controller, but a new cooperation paradigm for the era of intelligent electric vehicles."
500,000 units is not the finish line, but a new beginning. Moving forward, Hirain will continue to advance its technologies, evolve the XCU platform, and expand its deployment across more vehicle models. Through high-quality and cost-effective solutions, Hirain aims to support the continued advancement of China’s intelligent electric vehicle industry and deliver more reliable, efficient, and intelligent mobility experiences to global users.
