HiRain Joins Hands with Cercis Semiconductor to Inject Core Value into RISC-V Architecture Chips

On August 29, HiRain and Nanjing Cercis Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Cercis-Semi") formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will conduct in-depth cooperation in the fields of basic software and automotive-grade chips based on the RISC-V architecture, jointly promoting the innovation and development of domestic automotive electronic systems and chip technologies, and contributing to the upgrading of the intelligent connected automobile industry.
Under this strategic cooperation, the two parties will work closely together, give full play to their respective core advantages, and achieve in-depth complementarity of technologies and resources: HiRain will rely on its years of accumulated technical expertise and mature product experience in the field of basic software to provide solid support at the software level for the cooperation; Cercis-Semi, on the other hand, will contribute innovative strength at the hardware end with its automotive-grade MCU and SoC chip products built based on the open RISC-V architecture. RISC-V, with its open, flexible, and scalable features, provides a key path for realizing "independent and controllable" underlying chip technologies. The cooperation between the two parties aims to build a more efficient, secure, and reliable integrated automotive electronic software and hardware solution that connects the entire stack from underlying chips to upper-layer applications, so as to further enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of both parties in the automotive electronics field.
