Overview
As unmanned driving accelerates its implementation in enclosed sites and trunk road scenarios, ports—pioneers in unmanned operations—present unique and complex challenges that demand advanced technological solutions for unmanned operations. To address the practical hurdles encountered during the substantive deployment of port unmanned systems, Jingwei Hirain, leveraging its profound expertise and extensive experience in autonomous driving, has developed the 3rd-Generation Heavy-duty Autonomous Vehicle (HAV).


The 3rd-Generation HAV delivers comprehensive enhancements in chassis performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency. It is engineered to provide robust support for full-scenario unmanned horizontal transportation in ports while achieving dual improvements in operational economy and efficiency.

Key Features

  • Adopting automotive-grade technology systems, quality systems, standards, and supply chains;
  • The frame adopts an automotive-grade frame structure and process system, with overall full-immersion electrophoresis, meeting a 15-year service life, and featuring high convenience for disassembly, assembly, and maintenance;
  • Equipped with high-energy-density batteries, which have high safety, all-climate low energy consumption and other characteristics, and is equipped with functions such as precise estimation of full-life-cycle status, full data upload, big data cloud platform online fault diagnosis, and remote power control;
  • Adopting traction control mode, which meets power and economy requirements through a reasonable heterogeneous dual-motor traction dynamic distribution algorithm, and can effectively reduce tire wear based on traction dynamic distribution control, increase tire and motor service life, realize driving anti-slip, and improve operational stability;
  • Using a dual-pump hydraulic steering system to meet redundancy backup and functional safety requirements, and reduce hydraulic system energy consumption through hydraulic flow distribution algorithms, effectively extending the vehicle's range and improving steering system performance;
  • Each axle's left and right wheels are equipped with independent angle measurement functions, using automotive-grade sensors to meet redundancy backup and functional safety requirements;
  • Capable of multiple steering modes such as front-eight, rear-eight, full-eight, crab steering, dual-axle, and full-axle steering; The crab steering mode supports switching between straight-line and crab steering without deceleration, with a 100-meter crab steering attitude deviation within ±0.3°;
  • Adopting an EBS (Electronic Braking System) pneumatic braking system, featuring industry-mature technologies and components, low maintenance costs, and stability control functions such as anti-slip and anti-lock braking, which is important for driving safety in emergency situations, especially suitable for "open" mixed traffic environments;
  • Equipped with multiple braking modes and functions such as service braking, redundant braking, parking braking, regenerative braking, and pneumatic-electric composite braking, fully considering various failure scenarios such as sensors, controllers, actuators, and network communication failures to ensure braking safety;
  • Equipped load and center-of-mass measurement functions, which can preset reasonable braking force, shorten braking distance, control reasonable cornering speed.
  • The vehicle's integrated thermal management system can realize plug-in preheating, rapid low-temperature heating, overheating warning, thermal failure protection, etc.;
  • Equipped with a vehicle electronic file system, which uses data-driven technology to achieve continuous monitoring and optimization of the vehicle's full-life-cycle performance based on actual operation data;
  • The entire vehicle and components comply with the ISO 26262 functional safety standard and ISO 21434 information security standard, with high safety and reliability as well as information network security protection capabilities.
